Sí alguna vez te has preguntado sobre el significado de los sonidos que hace una computadora al arrancar esta guía es para ti, es muy útil conocerlos o tener esta guía a la mano sobre todo si te dedicas a dar soporte técnico a computadoras, ya que depende de los pitidos podemos identificar el problema rapidamente, estos pitidos se generan gracias a que al arrancar se llevan a cabo una serie de pruebas para comprobar el correcto funcionamiento del hardware (también conocido cómo POST), algunas pruebas son pasadas por alto y otras no, todo esto lo podemos configurar en el SETUP de nuestra PC.
Esta guía es útil para los 3 principales fabricantes de BIOS que son AMI (American Megatrends International), Award y Phoenix y las siguientes tablas muestran los códigos de los beeps más comunes.
Códigos para BIOS AMI
Estos usan pitidos de la misma longitud de tiempo, los errores son identif icados por el numero de pitidos, la tabla es la siguiente:
